Ms. Brailsford:

I'm enclosing a copy of the recently published trade edition of my tenth novel, The Miraculous Day of Amalia Gómez. Since last year you "reviewed" it for the New York Times Book Review -- and most obviously did so without having read it (as evidenced by the several glaring factual errors you managed to make in even the few lines of your review)--I am sending it to you now in the hope that at some future date you will be able truly to read it, and then realize how very unfair you were to my Amalia.
